Dec 6: Humboldt County Broadband Community Mtg

Connect Nevada and the Humboldt Development Authority
would like to invite you to attend the next community meeting

When: December 6, 2011

Time: 3:00 P.M. – 5:30 P.M. (approx. ending time)

Where: West Hall, Winnemucca Convention Center

The Winnemucca Futures Project identified the expansion of broadband access, adoption, and use, as a vital component of the “Shared Abundance” vision Winnemucca and Humboldt County hopes to attain.

During this community meeting we will begin to examine and obtain input from the community members regarding broadband issues related to access, adoption and use in Humboldt County.  Connect Nevada is a nonprofit organization working to close the digital divide in our great state,  working in conjunction with the Governor’s Office and the Nevada Broadband Task Force. Connect Nevada is supporting the development of a statewide plan for the deployment and adoption of broadband.  Our goal is to spread high speed internet across our state and help to ensure that all Nevada residents have access to the life-changing benefits of broadband.

If you are passionate about your community and would like to improve upon the broadband and technology for Humboldt County, please plan on attending, as we are looking forward to you input.  If you are unable to attend the meeting, we hope that you will send a representative from your business or organization.

Please notify, Debbie Erdody, from Connect Nevada, of your plans to attend this important meeting by calling, 775-376-3199, emailing to derdody@connectnv.org or by using the voting buttons (yes, no, maybe).

Thank you in advance for you participation.

Sincerely,

Bills Sims                                                                                         Debbie Erdody
