August Recess is Coming to a Close

For members of Congress, August recess is an opportunity to return to the district, remind constituents why you’ve earned their support and make the case for re-election.  Where was our District’s Representative Mark Amodei?

I get his newsletters and I can safely say that he doesn’t consider flesh and blood ordinary citizens throughout the district as his constituents.  Instead of attempting to curry favor with voters, he has been spending all of his waking moments with Chip01Chambers of Commerce throughout the district, and he held one session with veterans.  I guess you and I don’t count and he figures he’s got the election in the bag.

On the other hand, we have seen his Democratic opponent, Chip Evans stop through our county twice to spend time with voters.  His most recent stop was on Thursday, September 1st, where he spent a good deal of time with a group of Veterans at a session at The Griddle.  He also spent some time at lunch with community Seniors over at the Senior Center.  A number of folks have been thrilled to meet him and share their thoughts and hopes for electing a Congress that will work FOR the people.
